Non-Profit Organization SPILUS (www.spilus.org)

In 2013, to help new immigrants and families struggling with language barriers adapt quickly to the local English environment, IvyGoal established the non-profit charitable organization Student Partners In Learning US (SPILUS). For over a decade, SPILUS has focused on providing free educational tutoring services to underprivileged communities. With the help of our enthusiastic and energetic volunteers (mainly high school students) and organizations like the Opportunity Center and Boys and Girls Club, we have tutored hundreds of homeless students in Palo Alto and East Palo. Additionally, we have conducted online teaching, assisting numerous Chinese new immigrants with their English learning. SPILUS has offered a two-year free assistance course, including IvyGoal's strongest grammar system, English entry system, and quick improvement courses for new immigrants.

Student Partners In Learning US (SPILUS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. In 2024, SPILUS will leverage the many years of research and development experience and technology from its affiliated company, IvyGoal Education Co., to become an institution mainly focused on developing "English Bible Course" for Chinese students. Spilus is dedicated to the research, development, and dissemination of "English Bible Course" for Chinese students.

Over the next 5-10 years, SPILUS plans to focus on developing a set of "English Bible  Course" suitable for Chinese students, covering reading levels from elementary to high school (grades 1-12). This courseware will be provided to students and adults at IvyGoal Education Co. and other English training institutions and offered to churches and missionary organizations in the United States and China to support youth Bible Sunday school teaching.

In collaboration with IvyGoal International Education, SPILUS will begin offering free online "English Bible Course," "Christian Culture Course," and "ESL (English as a Second Language) Courses" to Chinese immigrant adults and students in January 2024. These courses will reach thousands of people and receive high praise. The courses include:

English Bible Course: One hour every Thursday, improving English reading skills while studying the Bible.

Christian Culture Course: One hour every Tuesday, explaining and promoting Christian thoughts and beliefs, encouraging and supporting new immigrants to join churches and become Christians.

Free ESL Course: Approximately two hours every evening from Monday to Friday, offering more than eight hours of free online ESL courses weekly, helping Chinese immigrant students and adults improve their English skills and better integrate into community life.

SPILUS plans to establish "ELD Learning Mutual Association (Club)" in middle and high schools with high Chinese populations in California. SPILUS will provide "English Bible Course"(bilingual in English and Chinese) and "Free English Course" to help Chinese immigrant students improve their English proficiency, learn about the Bible, and build mutual support relationships among students, better integrating into school life.This initiative will become a unique feature of IvyGoal International Education's student activities.

SPILUS will continue to provide free English learning, Bible study, various subject courses, and psychological counseling services to underprivileged youth. SPILUS is a formal, comprehensive non-profit organization (www.spilus.org) with a mission to care for and serve new immigrant students and families, promote Christian culture, and help IvyGoal students and parents overcome language and cultural challenges. We aim to give back to society within our capacity, help students achieve their college dreams, and assist more families in integrating into American community life.

ToastMaster:

Toastmasters International, founded in 1924 in California, is a non-profit organization present in over 136 countries with more than 16,000 members. Its mission is to help students improve their speaking abilities, cultivate leadership skills, and enhance expression. IvyGoal's ToastMaster course trains students in body language, facial expressions, eye contact, and voice modulation to attract audiences, convey personal values, and improve critical thinking. This training prepares students for college interviews and quick responses, enhances their academic background and leadership skills, and ultimately increases their chances of being admitted to prestigious universities.
